        The same happened here. It was disappointing. So...would there be room for me on Camper Community, or is that an exclusive site? There doesn't seem to be any great sites; some are downright scary.

        Wow the Souris river makes some awsome canoes. My wife caught me asleep drooling on that page, or it might have been the H20 canoes that were displayed in canoe roots paddling guide. But being the tight wad I am, I thought I would save a couple of hundred.

        The shorter canoes don't track as well, it's about like a kayak. I use my mad river 15.6 if I go canoe camping. It's the heavy one about 80 pounds, the triple tuff heavy stuff, but I don't have to portage on these lakes, and it can handle a pretty good load.

        I use to have a Coleman Canoe made by a guy named Coleman that lived in our town. His canoes where atrociously heavy. So I splurged and bought a good one (for me). I canoe camp a lot, often solo. What's your experience?
