Boy scout with a nanny

My nephew Gab is 10 years old. I was laughing when his mother told me about the camping trip of Gab recently as a boy scout. He brought along his nanny. I wonder why the scout master allowed it. The nanny said that she helped in the preparation of food not to mention that she had brought along some food ingredients for cooking. To make the story short, the boy scouts numbering more than 20 had a cook and cleaner. How about that?
