It is time for me to upgrade my little ole postage stamp of a camp pillow. I was looking at this thermorest pillow. Any input is greatly welcome. 36b32a7bc9744f7c357f9fa4b0824651.jpg

Yep, I ordered it. Only I ordered it in denim color. I'll give a review of it after I get it.

Pillow came today. It started out a bit lumpy, but soon fluffed up nicely. It's a little longer than a loaf of bread, the loaf rye bread in the picture was a small loaf. 20180124_142622.jpg 20180124_142234.jpg

I'm like you...no matter where I go I want a pillow [it gives me the comfort that my teddy bear gave me] and that makes me feel good.

But when I trip it's the standard pillow case filled with dry clean clothing. Sometimes it is just a jacket placed under my sleeping pad to raise it a bit.

Times have really changed a lot since my scouting days. Our pillow was our knapsack otherwise it will be the arm to support the head when we sleep. I think boy scouts now also avail of the modernity in camping equipment and gear because the folding cot seems to be common to them now. Anyway, that pillow says thermal so I believe that is for the cold climate.

  6. What a wonderful place. Climate change affects the tribal people the most. You can read more about it here: tribalclimatecamp.org It's something to keep in mind.
