Cooking the game

Have you experienced hunting for game or birds? My father had a vast experience in hunting deer, wild boar, birds and fish. From him I have learned a lot and one was in preparing a bird for cooking. You just remove the skin and all the feathers will come with it. Cut the head and feet. That's it. Another way for the bird is to singe it on fire so the feathers will burn. But it's not a good idea for the burnt feathers give it a bitter taste.
