Do you still bring a rope?

In my scouting days, the rope is a part of the boy scout's uniform. And even if I don't remember using much the rope, I still believe that the rope is an essential item for campers. When we go family camping I still being the big rope and the thin rope because it is always needed when pitching tent especially when the weather not good or the wind is too strong. It's a good thing to keep a rope in the car's trunk not just for camping but for other uses too.
