Grasshopper Pie?

    Want something a little different out on the trail? Try Grasshopper Pie! (Serves 3 or 4)

    At Home prep:
    • Pack together in a 1-quart ziplock bag:
    • 1 small package instant pistachio pudding
    • 2/3 instant dry milk
    • 1/2 tsp mint flavoring
    • (or you can pack some creme de menthe in a film canister)
    • 12 chocolate-filled sandwich cookies (Smash and bag separately)
    In camp:
    1. Add 1 3/4 cups cold water to the pudding bag
    2. Seal and knead to mix thoroughly
    3. Chill a few minutes to thicken if possible
    4. Into each bowl, put a layer of cookie crumbs, pudding, and more crumbs

    Any idea how it gets the name "Grasshopper pie"? I don't see any insects in the ingredient list :p
