Hiking Trails in Washington, DC

    I am a current college student in Washington, DC. I have found sort of hard to find quality hiking trails in DC. The weather in DC can be iffy but the spring and fall are perfect for a day of hiking. The only truly good trail I have found is Great Falls which is an 800 acre park with about 14 or 15 miles of hiking trails. It is located along the Potomac River.

    If you know of great hiking trails near DC or accessible by the DC metro (which has stops in MD and VA), please let me know! I'd love to do some hiking before the semester gets to crazy.
