Igniting charcoal for barbecue

We just got home from a weekend camping and I am posting this for my actual experience in barbecue. The question is how to ignite the charcoal the easiest way. When in camping, I always use old newspaper. Crumpled and lit by a match, the old newspaper is placed under the charcoal which are on top of the grilling screen. Just using 5 pages of newspaper, the charcoal had ignited and the barbecue has started to be roasted.
