Metal Detecting

    Does anyone here do any metal detecting?

    I do not do it a lot because I do not have a metal detector but I know someone who does and they do it a lot. They find a lot of change and even more bottle caps but occasionally he will find some long lost jewellery (nothing very valuable yet). Is this something anyone else has tried? If so, what are your favorite locations?

    I can't say that I ever have, though I could see how it might be interesting. Granted, most of the things found probably aren't going to be too spectacular, but, still, the mystery of looking could be fun.

    Anyone who does so find anything particularly noteworthy?
