Rabbit stew

Just saw on tv a documentary of an Australian family in the woods. The husband went to the fields to shoot rabbits. He got 2 and cooked it into stew with garlic, onions, salt, bay leaves and some herbs. For added flavor he poured white wine together with cherry tomatoes when the meat was almost cooked. The pot he used was the thick cast iron that he was able to place live coals on top so the food was like being baked. How I miss my camping days although I have yet to sample rabbit meat.
