Sowing seeds that you eat in the campsite

There is a saying among campers and hikers that when you go to the woods, what you leave are footprints only and what you take home are pictures only. But what about if there are fruits around? As per my experience, it is common to find fruit trees in the woods especially when the place is visited by campers. The fruit trees are from the seeds that the earlier campers have eaten. A good camper would pick ripe fruits only and keep the seeds for sowing when the hike starts again. In other words, you spread the seed in other areas so when it grows into a tree, it will bear fruit for the next generation.

That's nice as long as the seeds are indigenous to the area. Good way to be.
