One of my most memorable camping trips was when I carried my tent and my backpack in my bike for close to 120Kms (painful yes - Lisboa - Tomar) and arrived to a camping site called Pelinos and the owners were about to leave to their home country for vacations and the camp was closed... They were awesome though and let me stay there for the time I needed, free of charge...! :)...

I'm based in the UK and would love to hear if any of your guys would venture into the UK for camping?

If you would like to visit somewhere warn in the UK (yes we do have those warm days, not very often) you are far better going to places like Cornwall, for mountain ranges/hiking I would suggest Scotland.
