Notice - I didn't say merry - because in my line of work there are a lot of unhappy people. Perhaps it is just a deeply felt need I have inside to see sad people enjoying some resemblance of true joy. Everyone has a reason for or not for.
Yeah, I did notice and then I found myself thinking: "gee that's weird, who says that?" but then I realized there isn't really much difference is there?
I see a lot of merry people who are not happy being taken care of in psychiatric facilities. I always think of being merry as being outside and happiness inside. True they could be cousins.
