It's Harvest Thanksgiving in our neck of the woods - a time to be grateful for what is good, marvelous, wholesome and especially for food!

I know it's tough for the campers back at work, but I'm headed to Algonquin Park tomorrow morning. Looking to take pictures of moose.

It has been exceptionally warm for September so far, no sense not making use of it if you can

I debated whether or not to take the three season tent or the four season with stove. I opted for the three season with a four season sleeping bag. I don't think that it will be as cold as it was in June/July.

I think you will be sweating all night long with that, unless you like to sleep toasty

BULLETIN Reese is doing fine at this time considering his physical health. Fabulous spirit, but the flesh is very weak. Thanks for asking.

He has actually and I'm resolved and I've accepted the situation. (Not my first time - don't ya know.) When the time comes...I will getting another dog and will not be waiting. It might sound terrible but I'm studying the breeds - though I have stayed with the Lab or Golden Retrievers - all in good time.

I am sorry that Reese, is not doing well. I am keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers. Losing a friend is never easy and finding a replacement will be hard. Sending lots of strength and courage your way. :)

How is Reese doing ? It looked like you took his avatar off of your posts, and I am now worrying that Reese has died ? I know you said that he was not doing well this year; but hoping that he is still doing okay.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I don't know what happen to my signature - it just crashed and I haven't been able to get it back. Reese is not doing very well physically, but, his spirit is sensational. Because of his health he has not been out with me this year. I did sleep out for a few days in the back yard and made sure that he was with me - sort like old times.

Oh, Dancer, I am SO glad to hear that Reese is still around ! I know how devastating the loss of a companion dog can be, and my heart was breaking to think that Reese might have died.
My Chipper is getting elderly, and he is a lot more fragile than he used to be also.

Reese in now in his 16th year. Spirited, ready to go at an instant - but just can't get up. Like the Good Books says, "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak".

That's good, sometimes when you take a second look at a purchase you've made your opinion can change. I hope you enjoy using it this summer in better weather. I also got in touch with ZoneWest about the crests/patches and hopefully I will have some by the end of July that I can send to you.

There are fabulous opportunities in teaching - and there are a lot of benefits too. One is software development. Keep your options open and plant a lot of seeds - who knows Ontario Colleges may be looking for you?
