As I was sitting outside on the deck, I heard the ladies talking about different dinner theaters, ski shows, shopping opportunities, movie houses and dinner theaters.  I WAS SO DUPED!  I have a week here to struggle in the devils grip.  I don&#039;t know...this may be a really long week.  Don&#039;t worry if it is, I&#039;ll do my best to drag you all down with me! The current situation is creating havoc in several areas of the economy but in other areas, there are new opportunities. The can be said for camping products. With all the time on my hands [I work and then come home] I&#039;ve completed a comprehensive list of all the equipment I have.  But I&#039;m lacking only one thing. [Really?] The only thing I want is a bike. I haven&#039;t had one for some time...<br />

How&#039;s the weather in every ones back yard?  Here in this part of TN the nights have been getting down to upper 50s and days are reaching close to 90F. Sometimes September can be very hot and dry. The water temperature in the local lakes, I fish when I camp, is around lower 80 degrees. Still a bit warm for fishing unless it&#039;s catfish, they are yummy tho.]]></content:encoded>

I was talking to a hammock camping group about their planned camping trip in two weeks about a 2 hour drive from my home. I was all in to meet up with them, and hang out a couple of nights. But now old man winter rolled in, it&#039;s supposed to be in the teens tonight and maybe 40&#039;s tomorrow.  Brrr now I&#039;m thinking of backing out.]]></content:encoded>

Totally flying off the seat of my pants with no clue about food or equipment. Not going to pack things in. Just drive up and dump it out, as my nephew says &quot;Dump camping&quot;. Thought I&#039;d take the pop up awning, hammock, a tarp, canoe and Mr heater with 25lb can of propane. Of course I&#039;ll have sleeping bag, blankets and stuff. I figured if I start freezing to death at night I&#039;d get in vehicle and run heater....<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[It is coming winter time here in the northern hemisphere.  The day light is getting shorter than the nights, at least here on the 36th latitude. The shortest day light is December 21st, I think. We did have a little bit of snow last week, and then it warmed back up a couple days later, at least during the day sort of short sleeve shirt weather.  Most people here have stored their camping gear, but I start to get an itch to get out camping and brave the colder clear nights, and fewer people....<br />

Me personally it&#039;s just to hot in these parts for my liking. Most times this time of year I don&#039;t have the urge for camping. I do look at past fall pictures, and that does lift my spirits. The first picture was just as fall starts, very little color could be seen, but you could tell that fall was in the air. #2 is local lake in my area, they just start the winter draw down. #3 is coming...<br />
